Heroic Shattered Halls

Anyone done this lately? It was the daily heroic yesterday so we got a guild group and went in there. No problem with the big pulls. No problem with the gauntlet. No problem with the first three bosses. Only one problem in fact - Kargath!

The bladedance one-shotted our healer, who has 8k+ health and a full shield active. It then goes onto one-shot the warlock - who is BT-geared! I (kara geared enh shaman) just about survive if I can equip my shield in time but with the priest and one dps down it's all over for us. We tried this boss 6 or more times with different group compositions and different tactics but just could not get him down. Yet we have all downed him before on heroic.

Has he been buffed or something?|||I ran it in a well geared pug...2 days ago..maybe 3.No problems.|||all spread out as much as possible

if you have a priest make sure he POM's the group just before bladedance

also the healer can "cheat" a little by standing near the prisioner steps, he is less likely to get hit there as the boss "may" not get to him if at max range at that point.|||We had some problems the other day also, it was kind-of like he was bugged. We were all spread out, but when he did the blade dance, he bounced back and forth between 2 people and killed the healer. Next try he did the blade dance, came back hit the tank twice then back into the blade dance. We got him down on the third try, and that all seemed normal, just seemed strange the first two times.|||Quote:

Having done this on my priest and mage, both quite fragile as you'd imagine, I have some tips that can help.

Individually all dps should be ready to pot/health stone if they get low. Not ready like "move mouse to button and click", but ready as in mouse is about to click on the blade dance, or its hotkeyed and ready to go. If you have a priest, use shield and self-PoM to protect the clothies ahead of time. Druids can time a couple of lifeblooms if they're good. I ran this instance last night on my priest with a mage, elemental shaman and rogue as the dps, and I had PoM out and started PoH the second he blade danced, and then followed up with quick flash heals on the lowest hp targets.

Also don't spread out *too* far. From personal experience (meaning I could be wrong) smaller distance between players it more likely he'll blade dance between all players instead of just 2 back and forth. Obviously don't all be on top of each other either.|||i was ther with my priest alt 2 days ago. we spread out into the corners, and he didnt hit anyone higher than 3k a hit. realy in the corners, back to the wall. we had only ranged dd's, though.
