The trash is harder than him. Make sure to have 3 mages & 2 warlocks for sheeps and banishes. Makes it a hell of alot easier. Oh but make sure the mobs you are sheeping aren't immune as some of them are. Sorry i don't remember which.

As for void reaver goes. Make sure your whole raid has Lavendetta boss mod. If they do not have it they are a liability on that fight. 4 tanks is the easiest. Honestly it's a DPS race against the enrage timer. But at the same time he does an aggro reduction attack on the tanks, so you have to be very careful not to pull aggro.

Personally I would google strats & find some that are done online. maybe watch a movie or 2. Hardest part is to dodge the orbs.|||Quote:

Nonsense, I've seen raids who can clear up to VR with ease who have neither the DPS nor the alertness to get him below 30%.

BTW, "La Vendetta" was renamed "Deadly Boss Mods" quite some time ago.|||Its full name is La Vendetta Deadly boss mods, la vendetta is their guild.|||The offical site for the addon is headed thus:

"Deadly Boss Mods

A World of Warcraft AddOn"

All pages have the following footer:

"Deadly Boss Mods by Tandanu"

It refers to itself as "Deadly Boss Mods" all through the website and docs. Even the API reflects this:

Code:
local TwinEmps = DBM:NewBossMod("TwinEmps", "Twin Emperors", "Shows timers for the Twin Emperors encounter.", DBM_AQ40, DBMGUI_TAB_AQ40, 6);

The "La Vendetta" part was dropped from the name of the mod a while back. You can always find the latest version at www.deadlybossmods.com.|||BigWigs is better than DBM, anyway.|||Quote:

Bring 3 tanks. Let them know how to build threat fast.

Bring DPS. Let them know to get the hell away from Arcane Orbs if they're ranged.

Get people to buff up with food and flasks.

Nuke the boss.

Kill the boss.

Pick up the loot.

Rejoice.

It really doesn't get any harder than that.

//edit: You might want to bring some healers to keep people alive too, come to think of it|||LOL! Yeah.... healers are kind of important at times.

Everything I've read regarding various boss encounters and strategies have the Healers being kept to approximately 25% of the raid make-up, so 6-7 Healers basically.

The encounter doesn't sound too challenging really; Should be pretty easy "pay attention to the big arse ball coming your way and get out of its way". Novel concept and all that.|||Quote:

Meh whatever the name is now it is mandatory to have. Besides i still search for lavendetta on the site that I update my mods from and it comes up. So who cares. For me it's kinda like how the chicago white sox stadium will always be comiskey park to me & I will never call it us cellular field.|||We are still learning that fight, mainly orb-dodging...and we went with 5 healers: 3 x priest, shaman, pally. It seemed doable....we hit 16% before some sort of effup happened.

Anyhow, no offense Aerath...but you make it sound waaaay more simple than it seems to be to me. Knowing that you have to dodge orbs, and managing to keep spread out after repeated movements so you don't dodge one only to land in another...takes some practice. It also is an issue to minimize loss of dps due to movement.

As a healer, there is also another difficulty....VR's hitbox is very large. If I end up on the opposite side of VR as the tanks -- either from my own movement or from VR turning to pick new tanks -- then I have to get quite close in order to be in range of the tank on the opposite side of that big hitbox. And that means having little time to react to a new orb shot your way.

Anyone with experience...do you try to maintain his orientation so that tanks are always on one side, and then keep healers on that 120degree arc side? Or what?
