Pugging Kara

My guild generally runs Kara the night it resets and I missed it this week so I decided to wait till Sat night and try and get in a PUG.

4.5 hours later, I had 1 badge and the red a$$.

I should've known we were in trouble when the tanks weren't able to hold agro on Attunement that this could be a bad time.

We had to clear the way to Moroes 3x.

We had 9/10 in vent and the one person not in vent was of course the main healer who was +1400 heals and slow.

We had one person (2nd healer) in the raid that went afk like 6x and same person kept advising we should do Moroes by letting the pally tank just tank the whole fight, Moroes + all adds with no cc and we would just AOE them down (LMAO).

Main healer about 3 hours in said (This is quickly becoming the worst PUG ever) and the raid leader booted him.

Then the x-healer started pulling random mobs and we couldn't boot him since he was saved. He died on purpose and just stayed there so we couldn't replace him. People were getting angry and would leave, we would replace and those would get tired of waiting and leave. The x-healer held us hostage demanding gold to leave (whispering one of the party members) and we sat there about an hour. Finally after an hour and 3 gm tickets, he left but 2 gm's basically told us that he had the right to stay as long as he wasn't causing trouble (They didn't see him pulling mobs to try and kill the group)

Just thought I'd share my misery. I have to say that I don't care for the rule allowing him to stay not in a raid group.|||poor you :)

normaly kara PUG's go smoother. ^^

btw, having the pally tank the entire moroes fight is a good tactic if you are heavily overgeared ^^ but it didnt sound like you were.|||No need to be HEAVILY overgeared in order to aoe down Moroes, SLIGHTLY overgeared works just fine|||as long as you have someone geared up to handle the odd hit from moroes when pala in blinded or gouged and this can work well. but with your group it sounds like a very bad idea. on my war ive tanked both midnight and attumen together and had a dps war ot moroes asd ive held moroes and 1 of the melee adds. its hard work on your healer doing this but makes life easy and saves the agro of bringing 2 tanks. b ut beware opera might give you a lot of problems depending on the event.

ive lost count of the amount of pugs ive run in kara and now b4 i walk through the doors ill check the mt out on the armoury and the main healer. im not overly worried about the gear of the others in the group as long as they arnt in greens. if the group cant do attumen then you have zero chance of doing any other boss in kara so b4 attumen dies quit group so you not keyed.|||[QUOTE=dwarfenhelm;4160564]so b4 attumen dies quit group so you not keyed.[QUOTE]

Thanks for this, I wondered how that worked. Attunement wasn't really a huge problem except it was running around a few times whacking people when the tank should've had agro...It wasn't a basic charge either, it was going from person to person.
