Is your guild still raiding?

It seems with the upcoming expansion, our # of guildies online has dropped from 15-20ish down to about 5-8. We have only raided 3x in 2 weeks which is down from normally 5x a week. Is this normal? Is your guild still raiding as normal?|||i think it is pretty normal.

it is called the pre expansion depresion.

we have stopped raiding because of this 3 weeks ago. Realy a shame, we were pushing for kil'jaeden strongly, had some realy close calls on eredar twins just before *bang* all of our paladins had "connection problems" at once, 3 shamans didnt register for raids any more and generaly attendence dropped. So our guild leaders decided that we should wait it out. Good call, but i could strangle each and every one of the slackers personaly.|||The two top guilds on the server have merged and then collapsed over the lack of attendance but my guild has managed to carry on and we are still raiding 5 nights a week. Brutallus went down a couple of weeks ago and we are working on felmyst at the moment.|||Quote:

Haha. Our guild still hasn't managed to clear ZA yet. We just can't seem to get past the bird hatcher boss. Good group of people and fun to hang with but we just aren't great. We regularly tend to bring several undergeared folks and I was one of those at one time so have no complaints. SSC? We've downed Lurker and that's not a regular thing. TK? We've killed VR a couple of times both right at the 10 minute enrage timer. I've thought about trying to get in a guild running BT or Hyjal but then I realize that the grass isn't always greener so I'm in for the long haul. Maybe we'll get there, maybe we won't.

Anyway, I'm envious of yall's progression. Gratz!|||Yeah, we were having attendance problems as well. So the hardcore guildies split off and formed their own guild, and have been heavily recruiting, and are still having to PuG 25 mans. Not a good time to be forming a new raiding guild, but I wish them the best.|||Quote:

I don't understand that at all - if you had a shot at getting Kil'jaeden before the expansion hit, I'd have thought that everybody would be racing to do it...

My guild was perhaps in a similar situation, albeit an instance earlier - we were racing to get Illidan down before the expansion. Attendance was up very high, everybody was keen. We actually did it a few weeks ago, and since then we have been struggling - people feel that they have finished their objectives in TBC, and are now reluctant to go on farm runs - which I can understand.|||I'm amused by people who split off from their guild now or guilds that collapse because of attendance at this point. Um... guys? it's called patience. Freaking out because attendance is slacking after 2 years, a month before an expansion? Chill out. OK, I'd be annoyed in twoflower's place too... but for the rest? Get a life. If you can't raid for a few weeks at your normal pace and it really makes you think of leaving your guild you might well NEED to raid a bit less and gain some perspective.

Everyone will be back in a few weeks, you can level to 80 and start on a whole new set of raids.|||Quote:

yeah i thaught so too -.- i dont know why it happened, maybe a lot of the people had a burnout at the same time. maybe most of them are only in it for the items and got disencouraged as soon as a new item reset came up at the horizon -.- i dont know why, but i know that we had a few nights with 30 people signed up for a raid and only 15 people online before our guild leaders called it a night for Kil'Jaeden|||Most guilds on my server are dropping from a minimum of 20+ players online on weekdays to at most 15 during peak time, that's full guilds with 400+ people in them. It's definately not nearly as bad as WoW--->TBC transition, but it's still felt by all.|||Our guild, currently number 2 on the server, is still raiding although attendence has dropped significantly depending on the view of individuals. Those who feel the challenge continue to raid and those who feel that any future raiding is pointless with wotlk around the corner are absent.

For the most part we are still raiding due to the drive from our guildleader, which is a good thing.

Brut went down last Thursday and the current plan is to continue raiding until the patch is released.
