A serous Noobie Question

[:1]Sorry to ask such a very noob question however I have to ask in order to learn anything.

I have never done a dungeon before and well I have been thinking about trying it out. Starting out on my low level fire mage...the dungeon finder just opened up on him... I see all the time in chat for people looking for more but has to know fight....how does someone like me learn such skills? What is the best way to go about it without disrespecting other players that do know the fight?

Also when loot comes up what do I push in order to just roll for it and not take it automatically I do not want to make that mistake...:)

Thanks|||In WoW, the only way to really learn boss fights in instances is to do the fights. You can read up at a place like Wowpedia (formerly Wowwiki) to see how bosses are done, but there's no substitution for actually doing the boss fights.

You can also just ask. Say something like "I don't know how to do the boss fight. Can anyone tell me?" Someone will tell you, if not, then you're with a bunch of assholes and perhaps leaving is the best way to go.

If you "need" a piece of loot (something that you know you can use and would be an improvement for you), you hit the button with the dice on it. If you don't need the item, ("Greed") you hit the coin button.|||Thank you so much for the information.....:)|||There are certain sites out there that have videos of some of the boss fights too, you might see one linked on the site YAWP mentioned too..it does not hurt to watch the video for some of the harder ones.|||Great idea! After reading this I checked out youtube and found all sorts of stuff too....it really helped out a lot in familiarizing myself in fighting in instances...thank you so much!|||Your low level mage isn't what those folks are asking for usually. When you see people asking for more people, 99.9999% of the time it is for end level dungeons and raids. At low level (you said Dungeon finder just opened up) just join up and go kill stuff, have fun.|||As pointed out by our dear moderator the best way to learn boss fights is to engage in fights. The more you participate in these fights the more proficient you will be. There is no shortcut to that. I think he needs to play WOW at least 8 hours a day to become an expert.

Ok...what planet are you from?|||Quote:

Planet "Spamland", country "But I still want to participate in an intelligent discussion", province "Slipping under the radar for a month"|||At your level you dont need much tactics. Wow is actually quite nice where it teaches u the game as you level. For example, 10 levels later, the bosses will do a bit more. And so on. So until you are a high level, dont worry about those people in chat that only want 'ppl that know everything'. Most of the time they forgot that they started out as noobs too.
