BC Dungeon Loot for Hunters

[:1]So far I've checked up to Sethekk halls (normal), and the armor for hunters includes 2 pieces, Scorpid Sting Mantle, and Scale Leggings of the Skirmisher, and they both have +spirit/+int socket bonuses. I ask this question: What the heck is going on? All the other instances have +agi gear, but it's also +int! Are we forced to need and get stats we don't need? There are two bows also, and maybe 2 fist weapons/weapons. 6 pieces?!?! That's like HALF an xpac without giving hunters that many gear upgrades from dungeons, which almost always have better loot than quests. Why is this?|||aside from the ones you mentioned...

Belt in Shattered Halls, Head in Auchenai Crypts, Boots in Mana Tombs, Bracers from Underbog..

and those are the just the ones that i came across in 5 mins of looking. also found 2 guns, 2 bows, a couple of staffs, 2h axe, 1h sword. maybe look into this a bit more before jumping to conclusions.

Also bear in mind, back when TBC came out, hunters still used mana, so the gear would have agi and int on it, i think this has been balanced by adding other secondary stats (i.e crit, hit, haste, etc). And finally dont forget, just because an item has gemslots and socket bonus, feel free to add whatever gems u want.. u dont HAVE to use the socket bonus.|||good point about hunters using mana - I'd forgotten about that. Also, these items would also be of interest to (for example) elemental shamans.

Unless someone is making a twink in that bracket, you'll get something more useful soon anyway ;-)|||Quote:

Hmm, good point. But the armor at least has intellect on the pieces you mentioned (excluding bracers), so this brings me back to my question: Am I just going to be forced to need on the intellect gear if I want better gear?|||If with agi, crit, haste etc on (and Int) its still better than what u are wearing, then yes. If it were me I would pass if there were a shammy that needs, but thats just me.

I've always found that hunters while lvling arent as gear dependent as other classes (with the exception of a decent ranged wep)|||Quote:

This. In my opinion there is still enough decent loot for hunters in Outland, especially for the short time span you are there these days. Worst case scenario, you can outfit yourself with green stuff with agi, stamina and crit rating and get by perfectly until you get to the juicy Northrend gear.|||Quote:

Thanks for clarifying this! :)

Again, thank you! It's awesome to have a friendly forum that'll answer my questions. :)
