BRD - The Lyceum

Hi guys, i have a random question.

Im a guild leader on a server where the non elite, low hp mobs of the lyceum give xp. Some of my non guild friends have been travelling to the lyceum with the purpose of leveling on these guys.

Is this a bug or should it be like this?

Thanx in advance :)|||Err... If you're heading into ANY instance thinking you can grind it quicker than you can do quests to gain exp... You're probably going to have a good repair bill and less exp/hour.|||How much XP do they give in the 50s when you have a 70 running you through?|||As far as I remember these little fellows always have provided marginal XP. The supply is unlimited, but they give like 7 xp / 14 xp rested. You're prolly better off AoEing LBRS or Stratholme undead side.

If you do this with 2, the level 50 player will get 50 / (50 + 70) of the xp. About 41%.|||On top of the fact they give paltry xp you'll be spending quite the effort just getting there (unless you all do it the solo-MC-attunement way).|||it would take you 1-2 hours with a lvl70 to get to the lyceum which is hardly worth the effort for the amount of exp. and once you're in the lyceum if 1 person dies its hard to get back up trying to rez them. if you get wiped you'll most likely have to use the spirit healer to get out of it unless you get lucky with a soulstone/self rez and can rez the team before drawing aggro from the patrols in there.|||Quote:

All I can say to this is..

LOL WUT?|||Well, it'll probably go faster with 4 L70s armed to the teeth, but then the xp you'll get from killing the mobs in the Lyceum will be approaching 0 even faster.|||Hm.. roughly 25 mobs to kill to get to Argelmach (golem lord dude), skipping him and killing a handful of non elites in his room, 4 elementals on the bridge, Phalanx, 3 mixed packs, Flamelash, 3-4 golems+casters, the Seven then the Lyceum.

Can't see that taking more than 30 mins on any 70 as long as it's not a healer or prot warrior. Otoh, you'll probably get more XP just getting there than you will by spending the night in the Lyceum with a 70.

The old MC attunement shortcut is a lot faster ofc, but you will have to get those 50-somethings through the lava. The part before the last island can get a bit messy at that level I think. Did solo it on my frostmage at 59 or 60, but that was decked out in the best Outland greens AH had to offer ;)
