instances for lowbies...

Hi, so I'm fairly new to the game. Rolled my very first character just over the past weekend (a Blood Elf mage) and got him to lvl 16 last night. I've been bumming around the Ghostlands, questing and grinding but my attention to this only holds for so long.

Are there any instances relatively closeby that I could try out? I read a post a few threads down that not many seem to be doing the low level instances but I play with a few people that would definitely be interested in giving some instances a go. We're all between 15 and 18. I really have no idea where I am in the world relative to where instances are.

Thanks for your help.|||For horde, the starting instance is rage fire chasm in Orgrimmar. To get there from Ghostlands, you would need to take the portal from the Silvermoon City to Under city, then take the transport from Under City to Orgimmar.

List of instances by level:

http://www.wowwiki.com/Instances_by_level|||you guys are at the perfect level for The Dead Mines its a awesome lowbie instance with some very nice rewards. Dead Mines (aka VC) is located in Westfall, it also happens to be a Alliance controlled zone mwahahahaha.|||Quote:

Don't be so evil!|||and that means....I can't play it?|||That just means if you're on a PVP server or flagged for PVP you may get killed. You also need to avoid the alliance towns. There are plenty of instances on the horde side.|||if your on a PvP server and your in either a Contested Zone or the opposing factions zone you can get attack regardless.

PvP servers:

Contest Zones - players can attack each other when ever they want.

Alliance/Horde Owned - If you in a opposing factions zone (ie Elwyn Forest, Tirisfal Glades etc) If its your factions zone you can attack members of the opposing faction and but they cannot attack you until either you attack them or flag yourself with the /pvp command (it takes 5mins to become un-flagged for PvP).

Normal (PvE) servers:

You cannot get attacked in any zone regardless of who owns it unless you flag yourself for PvP with /pvp or attack someone who is already flagged.

RP servers:

See Normal.

RP-PvP:

See PvP.|||deadmines is on the very edge of alliance territory

the official flash map http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/flashmap/ will give you a good picture of where the dungeons are but you will have to cross-check it with the wowwiki list because Blizzard's numbers don't make much sense.|||or you can get the mod Atlas if you do i suggest you also get AtlasLoot.|||Atlas? What does it do? Any other useful addons/mods I should know about?

On a side note...are any addons class-specific?
