Marking tool add-on

[:1]hello everyone,

Does anyone know about an add-on or tool that is able to mark the ground so you can assign players to a specific position during a fight?

yes, you guessed it, my guild is having issues with people staying in place during Saurfang... it even takes for ever to position the players to where they should be and then for some unknown reason, they start inching forward during the fight, as if it will dps harder.. lol

anyways, i was wondering if there was such add-on or tool to click a button or a slash command that will place some type of marking on the ground and stay for several minutes.

i know we can use flares, but not everyone has flares...

if you have any recommendations as to what we need to do, please let me know.

thanks in advanced,

peligroso|||If there is I'd like to know what it's called - it would be great for many other situations.

However, for the fight you refer to, just using range separation does the trick - get everybody to enter

/range 11

and they'll get a range warning if they are less than 11 yards from any other player.

That should be all that you need to ensure safe separation for the Saurfang encounter.

If they can't remember their approximate start positions, to which they should return after the bloodbeasts have been nobbled, they shouldn't be raiding .|||yeah, we use /range 11, but is mostly to get the people situated faster than having someone tell everyone where they should be.

and i agree about some types of people, unfortunately its inevitable, we (all of us wow players) will get a couple of special people in raids =)|||I don't believe that mods can change anything in the rendered world, only the players UI. (And anything that does let you change stuff in the rendered world would only show on your screen, and would violate the ToS.)

It's time to stock up on flares...

(You can also use the various standards and banners you can pick up in the game too.)|||Not the rendered world, but you could try BossTactics. Here is a tutorial video:

do you use this mod?

if you do, when you make buttons to assign to player, does everyone see it or just you and\or people that have the mod installed?
